The Alberni Valley News is a division of Black Press and has been serving the Alberni Valley and the West Coast for 20 years. The paper is printed in Ladysmith, with 9,500 copies delivered every Wednesday, and of course the paper is available to read online at www.albernivalleynews.com anytime. Teresa Bird, the Publisher of the Alberni Valley News since May of 2011, has been involved in community newspapers for 45 years. Susie Quinn is the Alberni Valley News editor. A journalist since 1987, Susie has won awards at the regional, provincial and national level for both her writing and photography. As part of their commitment to the community, the Alberni Valley News teams are active in local theatre, business, civic affairs and other volunteer-driven activities.
