Uchucklesaht Tribe Government (UTG) is a modern treaty nation as a member of the Maa Nulth Treaty.  UTG owns and operates a number of businesses including The Thunderbird apartments and administrative offices on Argyle Street; the Nuuci facility on Redford Street, which provides health, education and cultural services to Uchucklesaht citizens; internationally-award winning Thunderbird Spirit Water; Pete's Mountain Meats butcher and deli shop; forestry and fisheries operations, including being a limited partner of Nuu Chah Nulth Seafoods and St Jean's Cannery; and other business interests in non timber forest products and seaweed
